MY BIRTHWEEK WAS A DREAM COME TRUE (5/16/16 email)

Thank you, everyone, for the birthday wishes!! Here's a few pictures from my week:

We got to drive to the airport with President and Sister Taylor to pick up our new companion,
Sister Davis, and we were there a little early so we had to take a quick shopping break.

After we picked up Sister Davis, we had breakfast at IHOP.
I felt like I was having breakfast with celebrities!
Seriously this was such a dream come true to have spent the morning with
President and Sister Taylor!

We had zone meeting on my birthday, and the zone surprised me with a birthday party at lunch (mainly Hermana Eldredge). It was amazing! We had biscuits and gravy, and Elder Flynn made chocolate gravy to put on the biscuits...it was so dang good! And probably super nutritious too.

Hermana Eldredge got me this cake.
The Hermanas said whenever they have a birthday in the branch,
the Hispanics shove the cake in the birthday person's face.
But they were nice to me this time and only put it on my nose since I didn't have time to shower.

Yesterday we got to teach N more ASL. He is just so excited to learn! I love it!
He can actually communicate with some people in the branch now, and it just makes him so happy.

T got baptized yesterday and it was amazing! She and her family got to the church late and they were really struggling. They had a rough day and her mom was crying. She didn't know if she was ready, so we just sat down in a room and talked while everyone else patiently waited in the room where the baptism was being held. We told her that it's her night and we want her to be ready herself without feeling pressured. T and her mom both got a Priesthood blessing of comfort and then everything ran so smoothly after that! It was AMAZING! She was talking about how much peace and comfort she felt afterward. Her mom couldn't have been happier for her! She kept taking pictures of every moment lol. I think she must have about 100 pictures from last night. It ended up being so wonderful though!
